• Load speed matches a standard motor RPM (1750 / 3450 / 1150 / 850).
• Precision required — no belt slip.
• Highest efficiency needed — long-runtime applications.
• Maintenance access is difficult — skip the belt.
• Alignment is easy to maintain (rigid mount).
• Space is tight — no room for a belt guard.

Pick Belt Drive when…

• Load speed differs from any standard motor RPM.
• You want the ability to change speeds by swapping pulleys.
• Load has shock or high inertia — belt protects motor.
• Belt failure would signal a bigger problem before damaging the motor.
• Existing HVAC blower or ag equipment designed around a belt.
• Motor and load can’t share the same shaft alignment.
